We installed our first shepherds – Alan Hoffhines, Phil Wood, and Larry Zeller – on November 3, 2013. Randy Gray joined the team of elders on May 7, 2017. We are blessed by these Godly servant-leaders!

Randy Gray became Oakdale’s fourth shepherd in May 2017. He and his wife Jennifer, the associate dean of Oklahoma Christian University’s College of Natural and Health Sciences, have been married for almost 40 years. They both are active in overseas missions. As an elder at New York Avenue Church of Christ in Arlington, Texas, Randy served as the stateside coordinator for the Chimala Mission in Tanzania, Africa; he recruited missionaries and spread the word about the important work happening there. Randy played baseball at Oklahoma Christian, graduating in 1971. He serves on OC’s National Alumni Council.

Alan and his wife Kathy have been married for 34 years. They have four children: Adam, Aran, Emily, and Austin. Alan is a graduate of Putnam City High School and Oklahoma Christian University, where he is a member of OC’s Athletic Hall of Fame as a baseball and track and field standout. Alan’s hobbies include fitness, landscaping, and spending time with his wife and family. He works as the Inventory Manager for Jasco Products in Oklahoma City and serves Oakdale as an elder.

Phil and his wife Diana have been married since 1980. They both graduated from Oklahoma State University. Phil is a civil engineer at Terracon, where his role is Senior Principal and Manager of the Oklahoma City office. Phil and Diana have three adult children: Candice, Brandon, and Sean. Diana is a residential realtor with Keller Williams Realty in Edmond. Phil enjoys gardening and horse trail riding. His primary areas of ministry at Oakdale are encouragement, greeting, and teaching.

Larry and his wife Jeanette were married in 1981 after meeting in the singles class at church. Larry attended Oklahoma Christian University and is Chief Information Officer at Locke Supply. Jeanette raises Labra Doodle and Golden Doodle puppies and loves to ride her horses. Larry and Jeanette are the parents of Zachary Zeller and Leah Brown, and are known as Papa and Nana to their grandchildren, Carter and Mackenzie Brown. When they are not spending time with their grandchildren or working on their farm, they can be found camping and riding their horses all over Oklahoma.
